Torah Fund - March 2017

The aim of the Women’s League Torah Fund, as ever in words adapted from Solomon Schechter, is to put “scholarship in the service of Torah,” the vitality of Jewish tradition, and the Jewish people.

Jews are hungrily turning to their synagogues seeking knowledge, spiritual renewal and connection to God. Our Ramah camps are growing, Conservative and community day schools are expanding, and new roles for rabbis in chaplaincies and nonprofit agencies are emerging each day.

Now, more than ever, there is a need for the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at American Jewish University to train visionary, creative, and compassionate rabbis to meet these challenges with wisdom and passion. Yet for many students, the financial challenges of their tuition and cost of living overshadows their ability to commit to our academically rigorous and spiritually engaging program.  As a member of our Torah Fund team, I thank you for your understanding of the importance of this campaign. It is through your efforts and contributions that we reach our goals and continue the many programs which you help support.

We thank you for making Judaism come alive, now and for all generations to come.

For those who have not contributed, we really need your contributions. Please write your check to V. B. I. Sisterhood, Torah Fund to help.

Again, thank you for your continued support of Torah Fund.
