CONDOLENCES
Our deepest condolences to Dorothy Crystal on the loss of her husband MORT CRYSTAL.  Mort was a beloved husband and father. 
 
 




GET WELL
Jean Brown, who broke her shoulder is continuing to recover.  We were glad to see her return to VBI services and hope she heals quickly.

Torah Fund - February 2018

WHY TORAH FUND?
 
The Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at the American Jewish University places great emphasis on personalized teaching, students open their minds and hearts to the texts and traditions of the Jewish religion, and feel the presence of God in their lives.  Ziegler school is dedicated to training a new cadre of Conservative rabbis who are versed in Jewish texts, committed to a life of mitzvoth and the love of God, and capable of transmitting the beauty and wisdom of Judaism to others.
 
The faculty and staff hope that the graduates will leave as passionate, dynamic, and  creative thinkers who can bring a sense of energy and holiness to the communities they will serve.   The curriculum fuses academic learning, professional training, a sense of community and personal spiritual enrichment.

If you haven’t sent in your 2018 pledge please do so at this time.   We need your contribution.   Support Torah Fund at any level you can.  For those who have not sent in your pledges, please write a check to Valley Beth Israel Torah Fund.    It is our hope that Valley Beth Israel a, as a community, support those men and women who wish to pursue a career in Jewish life.
